Why Lena chose the veterinary industry: "Animals have always provided me with unconditional love growing up. I absolutely feel a strong need to reciprocate that affection I was blessed with by advocating for furbabies and helping pet owners. Whether equine, exotic, small or large, animals have taught me core values and have given me purpose. One of my favorite parts of working at SPAH so far is connecting with fellow pet owners and learning more about their pets."

 About Lena's pets: Lena is a proud parent of two corgis named Bucky and Stevie, as well as a black Chantilly-Tiffany cat, named Jubilee ("Juju" for short). Bucky is Lena's senior Cardigan Corgi blend who she couldn't resist adopting from the local shelter she volunteered/worked for. Bucky is very much her hero and loves to cosplay to look the part. Stevie is Lena's Pembroke wild child with short legs and a huge personality. Juju is her rescued feline who is sassy, sweet, and can keep up with the boys. You can sometimes catch Lena exploring ATX with her pack!
