Why Cyan chose the veterinary industry: "I've always been passionate about animals from a young age. However, my journey into veterinary care was deeply influenced by the loss of our beloved family dog to heartworm disease. Determined to prevent such heartache for others, I began my career as an intern at South Park Animal Hospital. That experience quickly led me to a kennel technician role; over the past eight years, I've grown and thrived in various capacities within the clinic. I treasure every moment and experience gained through my work, treating each pet with the utmost care and compassion as if they were my own. A favorite highlight of my job is client education. I find joy in empowering pet owners with knowledge to help ensure the well-being of their furry friends. Driven to provide even better care, I plan to return to school to obtain a technician license, further enhancing my ability to support and care for pets.

About Cyan's pets: Cyan shares their life with a beloved group of pets. Their 17-year-old cat, Princess, has been a part of their life since they were 11, living up to her name with her discerning taste for Fancy Feast. Kai, the sweet but timid cat, offers a gentle and cuddly presence, while Eggy (or Earl Grey), the lap-loving kitty obsessed with lettuce, brings joy with his affectionate nature. Uwu who hops resembles a bunny, Sasha, their spirited 13-year-old Pomeranian, enjoys taking unsupervised strolls when no one is looking, and Luna loves snuggling up during nap time. Gogi, the enthusiastic dog who barks for snacks and back scratches, completes their animal family.
