Dr. Anthony Johnson is originally from San Antonio, Texas, and received his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Texas at Austin. He quickly came to love the nature and pet-friendly culture of Austin, and began working as a veterinary technician during his time at UT.

Dr. Johnson then moved to the Northeast to attend the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He graduated and received his VMD in 2025, and is excited to be back home to start his career at South Park Animal Hospital. He is particularly interested in soft tissue surgery, neurology, and feline medicine, and is passionate about using Fear Free techniques to make sure that veterinary visits are comfortable experiences for patients and clients alike.

Anthony now lives in South Austin with his wife and two cats, Nala and Fettuccine. He is an avid birdwatcher, jazz enthusiast, and lifelong fan of the San Antonio Spurs.
