Dr. Blake Ochoa

Dr. Blake Ochoa was born and raised in Austin, where he has been volunteering and working in vet clinics since he was 13 years old.  He attended Texas A&M University for both undergraduate studies in Biomedical Sciences and for veterinary school.  He graduated with his DVM in May 2026 and came back to Austin right away.

Dr. Ochoa loves working with cats and dogs, but has a special interest in exotic pets.  Growing up, he had a never ending parade of hamsters, mice, guinea pigs, and rabbits.  In college, he worked as a zookeeper intern and fell in love with the feathered and scaled animals as well.  He is excited to serve this often-overlooked pet population with all the care and compassion we afford to our canine and feline family members.

Dr. Ochoa is Fear Free Certified for cats, dogs, and birds.  His passions include internal medicine, client education, and exotic husbandry.  His goal as a practitioner is to be a compassionate guide that empowers owners to make the best decisions for their pets.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Blake is a movie fanatic (especially horror), record collector (all genres), and big time “foodie” (even though he hates that word).
