Dr. Shayna Corbett

Dr. Shayna Corbett grew up in Toledo, Ohio, where her love for animals began as soon as she could say the word "dog". She earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Kentucky and then went on to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University.

While in veterinary school on the island of St. Kitts, Dr. Corbett spent time as the Events Coordinator for a student-run animal rescue organization called SAFE, Saving Animals From Emergency. The organization rescues stray, abandoned, and neglected animals on the island and provides medical care, food, and supplies until they have been re-homed. Dr. Corbett still enjoys taking an active role in helping homeless animals in need by remaining involved in and helping out at local shelters. Her professional interests include surgery, neurology, and behavior.

In her free time, Dr. Corbett likes to spend her time outdoors - whether it is hiking, camping, fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking, playing volleyball, or taking her two huskies, Oakley and Grizzly, for an evening run.
